Are You Good Enough to Get to Heaven?

Dear Soul,
What would you say if you were asked tonight,
"Are you good enough to go to Heaven?"
What would you say?...
Maybe you think...
"I haven't been such a bad person."
"I think my good outweigh my bad."
"I go to church most Sundays."
But what does the scriptures say about your condition?
The scripture says,
"There is none righteous, no not one, (Romans 3:21)
"All of our righteousness are as filthy rags." (Isaiah 64:6)
Dear Soul,
All of us were born with a sinful nature
since the fall of Adam,
when death entered the world.
The law of God reveals to us our sinful condition,
both by our human nature and the choices we make
that are against God's Word.
Sin is serious business to God.
The Scriptures states,
"The wages of sin is death."
The debt of our sins must be paid for
either through the shed blood of Jesus Christ,
or by death, physical and eternal seperation from God.
Daily, we struggle with our fleshly desires.
Desires that are not pleasing to God.
We can mess up big time in a moment of great opportunity.
But thanks be to God
we have a Savior who understands our weaknesses,
He is familiar with temptations that we are faced with
for He also was tempted in all areas of life,
yet without sin.
Even though the Law convicts our heart
it was never meant to leave us in despair.
The purpose of the law is to
convicts our hearts,
so we become aware of our sin,
and our need for God.
Dear soul,
God understands your weaknesses.
He gave us the Ten Commandments
not to condemn you,
but rather to be held up as a mirror
to show you your sinful nature,
and to deliver your soul from Hell.
The scriptures says,
"For all have sinned,
and come short of the glory of God."
(Romans 3:23)
That includes you and I.
If it weren't for the Commandments,
we would die in our sins.
Sinners condemned to death,
by a Holy and righteous God.
The law shows us who we are in the light of God's standards.
Dear soul,
God He made a provision
through the shed blood of His Son,
the Lord Jesus Christ.
He showed His great love for us.
Such love should overwhelm our hearts,
and turn our hearts to God.
Love led me to the foot of the cross,
pleading for mercy
from a Holy and Just God,
accepting God's gift of salvataion.
This gift is being offered to you tonight,
it came at a great price,
to all who will believe.
What will you do with that gift, dear soul?
Will you accept it and accept Eternal Life,
through faith, in the Lord Jesus Christ?
"For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish,
but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
"For God sent not His Son into the world
to condemn the world;
but that the world through Him
might be saved. (John 3:17)
Soul,
In the mirror of the commandments,
do you see yourself as a sinner?
A sinner,in need of a Savior?
The Lord desires to meet you wherever you are.
Whether you're at a bar,
running with the wrong crowd,
or fallen in the pit of sin.
His arms are open to accept you,
He will receive you, just as you are.
Maybe you're tired from running away from God.
Run no further,dear soul.
Nothing you can do will make God love you more
than He does now.
Confess to Him your sins,
all your sins...
those secret sins, you would die if any one knew
Confess them to God.
Wet your pillow with tears,
as you are transparent before Him...
He won't get mad.
Be brutally honest ...dear soul.
Don't be afraid. He already knows.
He desires for you to acknowledge them
so that your sins can be forgiven.
At the foot of the cross with tear stained cheeks,
I looked at the feet of my Saviour...
The haunting memory of my sins
ever before me..
"How much do you love me? I asked...
He smiled, warmth filled His eyes
"This much!" He said,
and stretched out His arms and died.
Died for me,
the chief of sinners.
He died for you too, precious soul.
If you haven't believed on the Lord Jesus Christ
nor accepted His gift of salvation,
I urge you to tonight.
Make things right between you and God,
today, before you fall asleep.
You may ask,
"why ask for a decision tonight?
Why can't it wait?"
It's because thousands of souls like you
will enter Eternity, before this night is through.
Their decision they made for Christ
will be sealed for eternity.
Whether in Heaven or in Hell.
Take this moment, dear soul.
Think back to those sins...
the wrong choices you made,
perhaps the wrong decisions that you made today,
that you already regret...
Put them under the blood,
never to haunt you again.
We all made bad decisions...
All of us failed in areas of our life,
many times, I know I have.
But His love picked me up,
and put me on the right path again.
Put your sins under the blood, dear soul
your repented sins are under the blood of the cross.
Forgiven, forgotton...
never to be reminded of again.
The Scriptures says,
"As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath He removed our transgressions from us."
(Psalm 103:12)
Maybe you have harbored bitterness toward someone.
The resentment has taken root and turned into hatred.
Let God forgive you, dear soul....
He'll break those chains for you tonight.
Maybe you have been coveting something...
you lost your first love.
Renew your relationship with Christ again,
while His arms are open, waiting.
Maybe you have committed adultery.
The lonliness in your heart seemed more than you could bear,
and you filled that void in inappropiate ways,
He will forgive you tonight, dear soul.
Jesus, the friend of sinners.
Whatever the sin may be,it is not so great
that the Savior cannot forgive.
Right now, wherever you are,
you can bow your head
and commit your life to Christ.
You can begin a relationship with Him
by praying a prayer such as the following, from your heart:
"Oh God, I am sinner. I am sorry for my sins.
Please forgive me.
I want to turn from my sin.
I receive Jesus Christ as my Savior;
I confess Him as my Lord.
From now on, I want to follow Him.
In Jesus' name, Amen."
If you have decided to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior
after reading this invitation,
please let us know.
(Your first name will be sufficient.)
