This invitation is open to you.

To those who hurt and harbor bitterness,

I speak especially to you tonight.

We live in a time of quiet desperation,

broken homes and promises

are a familiar cord

that transcends through many of our lives.

Many teens are searching for someone or something

to fill the emptiness that they feel inside.

Many turn to sex, to drugs or alcohol

to numb their pain.

Others contemplate suicide,

or turn to "cutting"

to release some of the hurt.

You are too precious, dear soul!

How it must grieve the Father's heart

to see you suffer so in silence.

The Lord has plans for you,

plans to give you hope and a future.

Many have heard the message of a "Father's Love",

but never experienced a father's love as to relate it to.

So its message falls on deaf ears, and soon it is forgotten.

Many teens wonder why their parent walked out on them,

they feel abandoned and somehow at fault.

Let me in on you a secret dear friend,

"It was never your fault...

nor will it ever be."

Adult issues are adult issues

that young shoulders were never meant to bear.

Sometimes when adults hurt, they don't handle issues properly.

In frustration, they lay the burden of guilt upon their teens

as they struggle to deal with issues of their own.

Tonight, I want you to know that you are loved.

Quietly loved in Jesus.

His heart aches with compassion

as He suffers along with you.

Many teens feel mad at God.

They are angry at Him because

life dealt them a rough hand.

Tonight, I urge you to give it to God.

Give Him all your hurts...

your anger and bitterness

that you've been harbouring onto so long!

Release them tonight, dear soul.

Visualize as I did, a helium balloon ascending into the air,

until your hurts get smaller and smaller

the closer it gets to God.

The Lord understands your feelings.

You're not alone in your thoughts.

For He was a man of sorrows and aquainted with grief.

He was tempted in all area of life as you are, yet without sin,

so that He could carry your sins to the cross

and remove its guilt and shame.

The Scriptures says to be filled with hate is to commit murder.

Murder in our hearts.

Have you been guilty of murder, dear friend?

Confess it to God.

Many of you are struggling with lustful thoughts,

entangled in the web of pornography.

How it grieves the Father's heart

as he watches it along with you.

Confess those thoughts to Him, dear soul

The Scriptures says,

"that to look lustfully at a woman is to commit adultry.

Adultry in your heart. (Matthew 5:28)

Have you been guilty of adultry?

Then confess it to God

I'm not trying to give you a verbal lashing

to add to your already wounded heart.

It is out of love that we were given these commandments

to make us aware of our sin.

The scriptures says,

...in breaking one commandment you have broken them all.

We have all broken God's commandments.

I know I have.

If you have felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit

speaking to you tonight and would like to be forgiven,

you can make peace with God

and begin a personal relationship with Him.

The Scriptures assures us of this,

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,

and shalt believe in thine heart

that God hath raised Him from the dead,

thou shalt be saved."

-Romans 10:9

Right now, wherever you are,

you can bow your head,

and commit your life to Christ.

You can begin a relationship with Him

by praying a prayer such as the following:

"Oh God, I am sinner. I am sorry for my sins.

Please forgive me.

I want to turn from my sin and to

receive Jesus Christ as my Savior;

I confess Him as my Lord.

From now on, I want to follow Him.

In Jesus' name, Amen."

If you have decided to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior

after reading this invitation, we would love to hear from you.

Welcome to the family of God!

We are excited about your decision to accept Christ as your Savior,

and would like to encourage you to find a local church that you could be a part of

to help you grow in your new walk with Him.

Also, we encourage you to develop a personal relationship with Christ

by reading the Scriptures and to pray to Him often.

Talk to Him as you would talk to a dearest friend.

He desires that closeness and intimacy with you!

"He tends His flock like a shepherd:

He gathers the lambs in His arms

and carries them close to His heart..."
