The Urgency Of Time

Precious soul,

Time slips away unknowingly,

like the sand in the hourglass,

quietly drawing us closer to our final breath.

The cares of the world demand so much of our time,

we crowd out that which is urgent.

"Have I asked for forgiveness for my sins,

or will they meet me at the judgement?"

If God were to open the lid

to the pit of hell,

would we look into the eyes

of our loved ones,

who died in their sins

and   not feel horrified as we

listened   to their screams,

from this place of torment?

Would it not tear our souls to pieces

not having reached them

with the gospel of Salvation?

The expressions of terror,

of hopelessness,

and deep regret

would be   permently etched on their face

as they cry out in agony for mercy.

Yet we could offer no hope.

We would long to hold them,

and beg their forgiveness

Tears would flow as we would blame ourselves;

longing to pull them out of the pit of hell,

yet there would stand  between us a great gulf

so that no one could reach them.

The choice that we made on earth

would be permently sealed for all of eternity.

How many souls would we reconize

mingled among the lost?

Would their be our loved ones...

our fathers, mothers, or close friends?

We would weep regretedly,

and tell everyone we knew

how to receive eternal life.

Some of your loved ones may slip into eternity today.

Have you wept for their souls?

Do tears no longer flow with sorrow

at the unbelievers fate?

There there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

"...Liars shall take their part in the lake

which burns with fire and brimstone."(Rev.21:8)

They shall be cast into outer darkness. (Matthew 8:12)

Weep for souls, my friend.

Let the tears flow from your eyes.

"Love your fellowmen, and cry about them

if you cannot bring them to Christ,

if you cannot save them, you can weep over them.

If you cannot give them a drop of water in hell,

you can give them your heart's tears

while they are still in this body."-Charles Spurgeon.

Every moment draws us closer to our final breath.

How many lives while reading this letter,

have slipped down into the pit ?

Soul,

May I ask you tonight...

Do you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ?

Have you repented of your sins?

The Scripture says...

"Today if you will hear His voice,

harden not your hearts. (Hebrews 4:7)

..."Now is the accepted time;

behold, now is the day of Salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2)

Dear soul,

there's urgency in time.

Have your sins been forgiven?

Be brutally honest

Confess them to God,

so that   your sins can be forgiven.

The scriptures says:

"If we confess our sins,

He is faithful and just

to forgive us our sins,

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

Admit to Him that you are a sinner

Lay them all out,

you know, those secret sins

and thoughts you try to hide,

and would die if anyone else knew.

Tell them to God.

Tell Him of your coveting spirit,

the adultries of your heart.

The bitterness that keeps creeping into your soul.

Lay them all out to God.

Release them all tonight,dear soul.

Feel His cleansing blood washing away your guilt and shame.

He will blot them out from the book of rememberence,

never to be reminded of them again.

Right now, wherever you are,

you can bow your head,

and commit your heart and life to Christ,

and begin a relationship with Him

by praying a prayer such as the following:

"Oh God, I am sinner.

I am sorry for my sins.

Please forgive me. I want to turn from my sin.

I receive Jesus Christ as my Savior;

I confess Him as my Lord.

From now on, I want to follow Him.

In Jesus' name, Amen."
