Understanding the Web of Pornography

Dear soul,

Let me speak to your heart for a moment...

I'm not here to condemn you,

or to judge where you have been.

I understand just how easy

it is to get caught in the web of pornography.

Temptation is everywhere!

It's an issue that we are all faced with.

Daily we are enticed by what we see on television,

in the movies, or on the internet.

It may seem like a little thing

to look at that which is pleasing to the eye.

The trouble is, looking turns into lusting,

and lusting is a desire that is never satisfied.

Every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his lust.

Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin:

And sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."

                          ~ James 1:14-15

Often this is the sequence that draws a soul into pornography.

The scriptures deal with this common issue...

"I say unto you,

that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her

hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

"And if your right eye offend you, pluck it out,

and cast it from you:

for it is more profitable for you

that one of your members should perish,

and not that your whole body should be cast into hell."

                  ~ Matthew 5:28-29

Satan knows our temptations.

He uses alluring devices, beautiful images,

and seductive thoughts to entice us into his web.

We become intrigued.

Our interest leads us into a seemingly harmless path,

until it becomes a stronghold in our life.

Satan sees our struggle.

He laughs at us deliriously!

"Art thou become as weak as we?

God can't reach you now,

your soul is beyond His reach!"

Many die in its entanglement,

others question their faith in God.

"Have I wandered too far from His grace?

Will His hand reach down to me now?"

Our weakest moments are when we're lonely,

we're enticed by our own lustful thoughts.

We flirt with temptation when we should flee.

"What harm will it do?"

we say to ourselves convincingly.

Its moments of pleasure are dimly lit,

as loneliness sets in having been deceived.

It steals husbands from their wives,

wives from their children.

The wife you loved now pales in comparison

to the women you fantasize with.

Many have fallen into Satan's trap,

having gone further than they wanted to go.

No matter how far into the pit you have fallen,

God's grace is greater still.

The Scripture says,

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

               ~Romans 3:23

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,

and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,

thou shalt be saved."

                 ~ Romans 10:9

Tonight, if you would like to receive the gift of eternal life

first you must believe in the Lord.

You have to ask for your sins to be forgiven

and place your trust in the Lord..

There's only one way to heaven and that's through the Lord Jesus.

That's God's wonderful plan of salvation.

You can begin a personal relationship with Him

by praying a prayer such as the following:

"Oh God, I am a sinner.

I am sorry for my sin.

I want to turn from my sun.

I receive Jesus as my Savior;

I confess Him as my Lord.

From now on I want to follow Him.

In Jesus' name. Amen."

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

                          ~ Romans 10:13

"According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world..."

                          ~ Ephesians 1:4

If you have received the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior,

after reading this invitation, please let us know.

Welcome to the family of God!

We are excited about your decision to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior,

and would like to encourage you to find a local church

that you could be a part of to help you grow in your new walk with Him.

Also, we encourage you to develop a personal relationship with the Lord

by reading the Scriptures and to pray to Him often.

Talk to Him as you would talk to a dearest friend.

He desires that closeness and intimacy with you!

"He shall feed his flock like a shepherd:

he shall gather the lambs with his arm,

and carry them in his bosom,

and shall gently lead those that are with young."

                ~ Isaiah 40:11

Precious soul,

My heart is with you.  I understand that not all our emails are favorable

with this difficult topic that we struggle with.  I have struggled

with this issue myself, and it's only by God's grace that I am free.

Alhough many have come to faith in Christ, the heartbreaking

emails we receive only makes my heart beat stronger knowing

there is one more lost soul to reach.

The Savior is seeking lost souls. Souls who feel

they have fallen too far from His grace to be saved.

I love much for I have been forgiven much, but such is the grace of our God.

The invitation is still open for you tonight.

Come to Him before it is eternally too late.
