Jesus, The Friend of Sinners Facing Death Row What Will Heaven Look Like?
What Happens the Moment After You Die?

Every day over 200,000 people will
take their final breath, and slip into eternity,
either in Heaven or in Hell.
Although their lives may never made headlines,
the reality of death happens every day.
What happens the moment after you die?
When you die,
loved ones will gather around your casket
to say goodbye to one they held dear.
Tears of loss fall in recollection
of memories shared.
How quickly time had slipped
the brevity of life!
"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was
and the Spirit shall return unto God who gave it."
~ Ecclesiastes 12:7
The moment after you die,
your soul temporarily departs from your body
to await the resurrection.
Those who put their faith in Christ
will be in the presence of the Lord.
They will be surrounded with believing loved ones and friends
that they have known on this earth.
Whereas unbelievers will be engulfed in darkness,
fully aware of their state.
Images of their life on this earth
will be played back in the their memory.
It will torments their souls
when they think back to their family and friends.
Unless prearrangements have been made,
your loved ones will plan your funeral.
They will decide on a casket,
and take care of the details in write up of your obituary.
Meanwhile,
your body remains silent,
obilvious to the confusion.
Although you are unable to communicate with them,
your soul will be more alive than it has ever been.
The preacher will be called.
Relatives will come to be with your family.
Pallbearers will help carry your lifeless body
to its final resting place,
where words of comfort are offered
as they lower your body into the ground.
Mourners often offer their condolences,
by placing roses or carnations
onto the newly tilled ground.
They turn around to embrace one another
holding onto precious memories
of a life they held dear.
Although the unbeliver's body remains resting,
who can fathom the depths the hell he is experiencing?!
His spirit screams as Hell from beneath is moved
to meet him at his coming.
Unprepared he is to meet God!
Alhough he cries in his torment
his prayer offers no value whatsoever,
for a great gulf is fixed between Heaven and Hell
that no one can pass to the other side.
Hopelessly, he stares at the awfulness of his state.
The beautiful words spoken in his eulogy
bare no resembelance to the reality that he now face.
Alone, they are left in their misery.
Alone in their memories.
The flame of hope forever extinguished
of ever seeing their loved ones again.
On the contrary, precious to the Lord
is the death of His saints.
Escorted by the angels into the presence of God,
they are now comforted.
Their trials and suffering are past.
Alhough they will be missed,
they have hope of seeing their loved ones again.
Dear Soul,
Many people don't like to think about death.
They would rather live in denial,
than to believe that it will happen to them.
Yet it is certain that one in one will die,
and then face the Judgement.
A person must receive what Christ has done for him,
by acknowledging the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior
by placing their faith and trust in Him.
Tonight you can make a decision for Christ.
You can begin a relationship with Him
by praying a prayer such as the following:
"Oh God, I am a sinner.
I am sorry for my sins.
Please forgive me.
I want to turn from my sin.
I receive Jesus Christ as my Saviour;
I confess Him as my Lord.
From now on, I want to follow Him.
Thank you for saving my soul.
In Jesus' name, Amen."
